United Nations Security Council members the U.S., U.K., China, France, and Russia plus Germany will meet Iranian delegates in Baghdad on May 23 following “constructive” talks in Istanbul on April 14, Catherine Ashton, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, said yesterday. A touchy, feel good article for the American public to lessen the strain on political figures and provide the old smoke and mirrors.

with refineries closing and no new ones, gas prices will stay high. We (USA) have a glut of oil, but limited refineries. Has anyone else noticed that oil supplies continue to go up, but gas reserves are going down? I really wish we could get a real picture about why this is...Is it gov't, or the greedy big oil companies shutting down refineries to squeeze gas supplies?

surprised anyone cares; all seems to going well despite much of Iran's oil missing from the general market. maybe the oil distributors have rerouted some of the oil normally going to China and India to areas blocked by the sanctions since Iran still supplies those two.

When crude oil prices start dropping, all oil companies will stop drilling. The further it drops the quicker the oil companies will stop drilling. It will only takes months to drop the decline curve on the producing wells to either cause more imports at a higher price or crude prices will rise and the companies will slowly start drilling again. The days of cheap oil and gasoline are over. You had you golden days in the 80's and 90's.
